Ian Wright reacts to West Ham United Conference League win v Fiorentina
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has shared his delight at seeing West Ham lift the Europa Conference League trophy.
The Hammers defeated Serie A club Fiorentina 2-1 on Wednesday (7 June) to secure their first major European trophy in 43 years.
Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen were the heroes on the night, with the latter clinching the victory with a 90th-minute winner.

“No better feeling than lifting a trophy,” Wright posted on Twitter. “Brilliant West Ham.
“Just feel so happy watching all the players and their families and the fans enjoying their moment. Great night.”

Magical night
It is a night that will live long in the memory of everyone associated with West Ham, with the club producing a determined display to come out on top against a resilient Fiorentina side.
Benrahma and Bowen may dominate the headlines for their goals, particularly the latter given how late on it was in the game, but everyone at the club deserves huge credit for the success.
Particularly deserving of credit is manager David Moyes, who at one point not so long ago was seemingly close to losing his job in the Hammers dugout.
The club’s Premier League season was looking disastrous, but the boss turned things around and guided them to safety in fine fashion.
He then took things to a whole new level in Europe, with the manager’s smile at the full time whistle really a fantastic sight to see on what was a magical evening for the East London outfit.
