Ian Wright fumes after what he saw in West Ham United v Tottenham clash
Ian Wright has slammed Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie for his error which led to West Ham scoring the winner on Thursday, 7 December.
The defender made an error while passing the ball back to the goalkeeper and that saw James Ward-Prowse scoring a goal.
This was the Hammers’ second of the night and proved to be the winner in a game that ended 2-1.

Wright said on Premier League Productions’ post-match show (07 December, 22:56), “It’s a terrible back pass from Udogie. The pass back is so poor and the goalkeeper’s not even favourite to win the ball. This is where he’s absolutely let his keeper down.”
Efficient
Despite David Moyes’ pragmatic style of football, West Ham are consistently securing results and positioning themselves for a potential European finish.
Moyes has instilled a resilient and well-organised ethos within the team, focusing on defensive solidity and exploiting attacking opportunities when they arise.
Key players like Jarrod Bowen, exemplified by his decisive goal against Tottenham, showcase the effectiveness of the Scotsman’s approach even though it may not be easy on the eye.

Additionally, Moyes has created a cohesive unit that thrives on unity and commitment, compensating for any perceived limitations in style.
The team’s ability to grind out results, even when not playing aesthetically pleasing football, speaks to the effectiveness of his philosophy.
That said, the Hammers were undoubtedly the better team on Thursday and it was far from a smash and grab as they deserved the three points.
In other West Ham news, a BBC pundit has admitted that he’ll come out of retirement just to play with a West Ham star after what he did recently.
