Highly-rated West Ham sensation signs new deal at club – report
After a weekend of disappointment with the 2-0 defeat against Wolves, West Ham United have finally sealed some good news.
ExWHUemployee has reported on his personal Twitter account that exciting academy product Bernardo Rosa has signed a new deal at the London Stadium.
The reliable club source confirmed that it was great for the Irons to secure such a highly-rated player for the foreseeable future.
The 19-year-old can play both in midfield and defence and has completed 415 minutes of action for the under-23s this season.
ExWHUemployee confirmed the news on Monday afternoon after reports had been brought to light in the media.
“As reported elsewhere Bernardo Rosa has signed a new deal with the club which is good as he is highly rated,” he confirmed.
There will be celebrations over being able to tie down the future of a promising young Hammer, especially after the confusion surrounding Jeremy Ngakia after his breakthrough year.
The young Brazilian talent has impressed in the Checkatrade Trophy this season in his first action of senior football. Rosa won 69% of his duels in the impressive 5-4 victory against Newport, and also featured against Cheltenham and Exeter [WyScout].
Rosa highlighted his ability to get on the ball on find the target from range against Cheltenham, scoring his only goal of the season in the defeat.
It was a great curling effort into the bottom right corner, and Hammers fans will be watching this footage knowing that he can play in a variety of different positions.
He also has a great range of passing which he highlighted at Old Trafford against Manchester United, finding Ben Johnson (the number two down the right) with a lovely switch of play.
