‘Having a mare’ – These West Ham fans destroy one player v Sheffield United
West Ham United’s clash with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Friday night certainly wasn’t a classic, far from it in fact.
Indeed, the most notable aspect of the game from a Hammers perspective – unfortunately so – was the injury suffered by goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski in the first half.
Aside from that, the 1-0 defeat to Chris Wilder’s side was a rather drab affair. Most of the Irons players didn’t quite perform to their maximum levels.
That was certainly the case for captain Mark Noble, anyway. The 32-year-old looked lax in possession from start to finish against the Blades.
He grew into the game a bit and was able to recycle possession as reliably as usual, but this was a far cry from his match-winning effort against Bournemouth last week.
The West Ham supporters certainly weren’t impressed by what the skipper offered up, with many of them feeling that he was off the pace. One of them even said he was having a ‘mare’.
