Harry Redknapp predicts Jarrod Bowen purple patch after brace for West Ham United v Everton
Harry Redknapp expects Jarrod Bowen to go on a purple patch of form for West Ham United after netting a crucial brace against Everton on Saturday (21 January), as relayed by Football London.
The 26-year-old had gone 99 days without scoring before his quick-fire double fired David Moyes’ struggling Hammers into an early 2-0 lead at the London Stadium.
The man-of-the-match performance took the striker’s goal tally for the season up to seven after netting an impressive 18 goals in all competitions last term.
As shared by Football London, former West Ham United manager Redknapp believes last weekend’s performance could help kick-start Bowen’s otherwise disappointing season.
“I’m a big fan of Bowen, that was a brilliant performance from him at the weekend,” he told BetVictor.
“That was a huge game for West Ham, and he delivered for his side. He’s had a quieter season this year, but I think he’ll kick on now in the next few weeks.

Goals needed
Bowen’s return to form couldn’t have come at a better time for Moyes.
Although his side returned to winning ways against the Toffees, the Scot was dealt a double injury blow through the knee issue January recruit Danny Ings picked up and the injury Gianluca Scamacca picked up days before the match.
With both these forwards out of the frame for the time being, it will be up to Bowen and Michail Antonio to step up and fire the Hammers away from the clutches of relegation.
This duo as a front two is a tried and tested combination, with Antonio picking up ten goals and the Englishman hitting 12 goals in the Premier League.
Saturday’s performance was a timely reminder of the quality Bowen possesses, and you can’t help but feel that in a more central position, running off the shoulders of the last defender, he can still be a lethal goal-scoring threat.
