Harry Redknapp makes new West Ham United claim after Niclas Fullkrug signing
Harry Redknapp is predicting West Ham United will “do very well” this coming season on the back of making some astute summer signings.
The Irons have been one of the busiest Premier League clubs during the close season, most recently signing Niclas Fullkrug and Guido Rodriguez.
Crysencio Summerville, Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme have also been signed, while Wes Foderingham provides further goalkeeping cover.
Asked for his thoughts on West Ham this coming season live on talkSPORT [7 August, 09:13am], Redknapp said: “They’ve made some good signings.
“I like the look of West Ham. They’ve got a couple of good wingers in, including [Crysencio] Summerville from Leeds; [Jarrod] Bowen is there too.
“This could be a good year for them. I’ve got a feeling they’re going to do very well, hopefully.”
West Ham United must target European spots
After an underwhelming campaign last time out in the Premier League, which ultimately led to David Moyes’ departure, the Irons have not sat back.
The club were quick to make new signings and, after a bit of a lull, they have added three more over the past week or so – and each of those signings will provide something different.
Summerville was the best player in the Championship last season; Fullkrug impressed for Germany at Euro 2024; Rodriguez was wanted by some of Europe’s top clubs after departing Real Betis.

Factor in the other new signings, plus the big names still at London Stadium, and there is no reason why a top-eight finish cannot be achieved at the least.
Julen Lopetegui will no doubt want to play things down, but if you’re not going to aim high then what is the point? This could be a brilliant campaign ahead for the Hammers.
