Harry Redknapp expects David Sullivan to ‘sell up’ to multi-billionaire in new West Ham relegation claim
West Ham United’s start to the season has been turbulent both on and off the pitch.
While protests have raged against David Sullivan and the West Ham board, matters worsened as West Ham sacked Graham Potter after five league games.
West Ham’s resilient draw against Everton suggests there is hope things can turn around on the pitch, but protests against the board are set to continue.
Sullivan has been with the Hammers since 2010, but his time at the club is going through a particularly turbulent period.

Harry Redknapp expects West Ham to sell up to Saudis or Americans
Harry Redknapp played for West Ham from 1965 to 1972 and managed the Irons from 1994 to 2001.
The 78-year-old has been critical of the Hammers this season and predicted Potter’s fate after West Ham’s first game of the season.
As the Irons transition to a new manager once again, Redknapp can see Sullivan moving on from his position on the West Ham board in the not-so-distant future.
In an interview with GiveMeSport, he said: “One day, Sullivan will sell up, he will sell his shares to multi-billionaire Saudi Arabians or multi-billionaire Americans.
“That’s what you need on board now to be able to compete at the very highest level.
“They’ll be OK this season. I don’t see them going down.
“The new left-back (El Hadji Malick Diouf) looks a good lad, and they have Jarrod Bowen, who is outstanding. But they need a striker and look weak at the back. It’s about recruitment.”

West Ham became the first visiting goal scorers at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night and registered their first point in the Premier League since August.
The Hammers face an away trip to Arsenal in their next league fixture, a side that Nuno has only lost four times against in 10 attempts.
A season of transition for West Ham
In 2023, West Ham appeared as though they had built a platform on which they could entrench themselves in the higher echelons of the Premier League.
They had won the Europa Conference League under David Moyes, and in the season following, they sold Declan Rice for a record fee of £100million, offering them the chance to reinvest and progress further.
But after an underwhelming period, the Irons supporters appear to have gone full circle and find themselves in a conflict with the board again, and are dissatisfied with their transfer business.
But they will find hope through the appointment of Nuno, and he is just the man who can navigate their U-turn.

The Portuguese was in a similar position at Nottingham Forest, and he was forced to steady the ship before he could field a team that went on to record a top-seven finish.
As West Ham find themselves having issues with their owners, it is possible this U-turn could take longer as compared to Forest’s, but they can be reassured they have the right manager to lead them into the future.
