Harry Redknapp backs West Ham to beat Norwich City

Harry Redknapp has backed West Ham to beat Norwich City on Saturday.

The Hammers go into the match three points clear of safety after having lost 1-0 to Burnley in their last outing.

But Redknapp believes that his former club have what it takes to move another step closer to retaining their top flight status with a much-needed win over their fellow relegation battlers.

Speaking to Bet Victor, he said: “The Hammers visit rock-bottom Norwich also aware that one more victory is likely to prove enough to ensure Premier League football next term.

“They missed a golden chance in midweek when losing 1-0 at home against Burnley to settle those relegation nerves but, after a tough recent run of opponents, will be pleased to finally meet a team below them.

“A splendid 3-2 success over Chelsea has been their key result recently and another performance like that will surely see them notch three points on the road this Saturday.

“Norwich are the sections lowest scorers and West Ham must be looking forward to facing a defence that has shipped sixty-three top-flight goals.”

This match is an absolute must-win for West Ham.

If they can’t pick up points against Norwich then you would have to worry for the rest of the season.

Clashes against Watford, Manchester United, and Aston Villa are to follow, and while two of those matches look like they could be winnable, the Canaries still look to be the easiest opportunity to pick up three points by quite some distance.

The defeat to Burnley was a real disappointment after a couple of decent results against Newcastle United and Chelsea, and David Moyes will know that his side need to bounce back sharply if they are to avoid a nervous final few matches.
