Harry Kane backed to thrive in team with West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen

Faye Carruthers believes Harry Kane will be “relishing” the chance to play with West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen in their upcoming England internationals.

Kane is currently four goals off of Wayne Rooney’s all-time international record.

Bowen currently has 13 assists this season and Carruthers believes Bowen’s inclusion will provide Kane with more chances to score.

Talking on talkSPORT [12:28, 3 June], she said: “13 assists in all competitions is quite impressive.

“It’s more than Kevin De Bruyne as well which is so impressive and a striker like Kane chasing records will relish playing with the West Ham man.”

Amazing season

Bowen deserves all the plaudits he has received this season and thoroughly merited his first call-up to the England squad.

The attacking output he has displayed this season puts him amongst the best in the league and for him not to have received a call-up earlier was farcical.

It will be absolutely no surprise if the winger is a success on the international stage.

Bowen’s finishing ability has seen him drag West Ham to a seventh place finish in the Premier League.

The Irons must act quickly if they want to prevent the winger from moving on from the London Stadium.

It was rumoured [90min, 1 June], that Bowen is in line for a new bumper contract from the Irons.

If that is the case it is a good move from the Hammers as his performances and international recognition would’ve only boosted potential interest further in the past weeks

It would be criminal if the Hammers lost the 25-year-old for anything less than what he is worth to the club.

In other West Ham news, Antonio has been working hard away from the pitch to create a brand new academy aimed at helping young footballers gain an education.
