Harrison Ashby could get West Ham United reprieve before January window
West Ham defender Harrison Ashby could now hope to get more games following the injury to Kurt Zouma, as reported by Claret and Hugh.
The 21-year-old right-back is likely to leave the club in the January window, with Leeds United and Newcastle vying for his signature.
However, the injury to Zouma could see Thilo Kehrer being drafted into the centre-back role, and David Moyes could use the youngster at right-back if needed.

The Hammers confirmed on 24 November that Zouma has undergone knee surgery and he will out for the foreseeable future.
Unlikely
It has been hugely frustrating for the young lad whose development has been halted this season.
He has struggled immensely for minutes and only played a handful of games in the Europa Conference League. The youngster hasn’t played a single minute in the Premier League this season.
Despite the injury to Zouma, Ashby’s situation is unlikely to change.
Nayef Aguerd has returned to full fitness, and he is likely to partner Kehrer at the back. Craig Dawson is another option for Moyes.

In the right-back role, Moyes has two quality players in Ben Johnson and Vladimir Coufal, and there’s no way young Ashby can be given chance ahead of them.
Also, summer Maxwel Cornet can play as a right-back if needed, which means Ashby is way down the pecking order at the club.
A move away from the club is likely to happen for the youngster. With West Ham struggling in the Premier League, it’s wishful thinking that Moyes will experiment with Ashby at right-back.
