‘Great finish’ – Some West Ham fans thrilled with Bowen first-half goal v West Brom

Jarrod Bowen found the net right at the death of the first half to give West Ham a 1-0 lead at home to West Brom.

In a half of few chances, Bowen scored with his shoulder after Vladimir Coufal fired a cross across the Baggies penalty area.

It’s the Englishman’s fifth goal of the season, and the first time he’s scored against West Brom. His last goal came in the 2-1 win at home to Aston Villa in November.

That strike has come at a good time for Bowen, a player who is lively in every game for the Hammers but was just finding himself on a bit of a barren run.

It’s a harsh goal to concede for the visitors as the ball crossed the line on the last second of the minute added-on.

West Brom have looked stable at the back in the first half are were proving very difficult to break down until Bowen got himself on the scoresheet.

A win will see the Hammers move up to sixth in the Premier League table, leaving them on thirty-two points after nineteen games.

Bowen’s made such a great impact since arriving in London last year.

He did so well to chest the ball goalwards, especially as the ball came at him so fast from Coufal’s cross.

Let’s hope he continues to shine after the break and we see out a huge win to take us up the Premier League table.
