Graham Potter to West Ham: Dorsett shares what he’s heard about Steidten image
Rob Dorsett says he has been told an image circulating on social media of West Ham technical director Tim Steidten meeting with Graham Potter is old.
Julen Lopetegui’s future as West Ham boss is now under major scrutiny as Potter has emerged as a leading candidate to take over if the Spaniard is sacked.
The Hammers are currently 14th in the top-flight table and could look towards the former Chelsea boss to bring a new lease of life to Rush Green.
Speaking on Sky Sports (7 December), Sky journalist Dorsett revealed he has been told the image that has surfaced is not a new one but that he has met with Hammers officials.
“My understanding is that Graham Potter has met with senior officials at West Ham and Everton on numerous occasions over the last few months,” he said.
“There are some photographs showing Graham Potter with Tim Steidten and it’s been made clear to me that those are old pictures, they’re from a couple of months ago.
“But he did meet with West Ham’s bosses yesterday.”
Graham Potter could be the man to turn around the form of West Ham United
Since the start of the season, fans have been calling for the head of Lopetegui due to the way he’s had the Hammers playing.
The Spaniard and Steidten spent over £100million in the summer to try and bolster their ranks but in reality, it feels like they’re worse off now than they were with David Moyes at the helm.
So, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that the future of the former Wolves boss is already being discussed.
Potter might not have had the best of times when in charge of Chelsea but the way he led Brighton seems to be exact sort of playstyle that West Ham’s squad would prosper with.

They have plenty of talent among their ranks and likely just need the right man to lead them because it’s been made very clear that Lopetegui is not the one.
Potter could turn around the fortunes of West Ham in a matter of weeks and, if David Sullivan did choose to hire him, it could be one of the best things he’s done for the Hammers in recent memory.
In other West Ham news, Potter could have a sizeable transfer kitty if he is appointed by the Hammers.
