Gianluca Scamacca appeals to Jose Mourinho as West Ham United ace would ‘gladly accept’ Roma transfer
The characteristics of West Ham United ace Gianluca Scamacca appeal to Roma manager Jose Mourinho, according to Calciomercato.
The publication notes that Roma could swoop for the Italian international this summer, with the player set to “gladly accept” the transfer.
Roma general manager Tiago Pinto was reportedly in London on Wednesday (14 June) to discuss the future of the Hammers striker, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

“Roma, as he told the agents, could relaunch him and then decide his future together with the English club,” according to Calciomercato.
“It goes without saying that Scamacca, from Rome, would gladly accept such a solution, even if the impression is that the negotiation won’t be short, because West Ham would prefer to sell him outright, but Pinto intends to insist, also because Scamacca’s characteristics appeal to Mourinho.”

Scamacca exit likely
Nothing has been confirmed, but all the signs suggest that Hammers forward Scamacca will make a switch to Stadio Olimpico this summer.
Whether that be temporarily or on a permanent basis remains to be seen, but it does look like his near future lies away from West Ham.
The Italian international really struggled to have a major impact in his debut campaign in England, although injuries did stutter his ability to progress in claret and blue.
He will definitely have suitors, and could even hit the ground running with a fresh start elsewehere, with a return to Italy and more specifically the capital the most likely option.
Scamacca spent much of his youth among the ranks at Roma, and could now return there to work with the one and only Mourinho.
If anyone can get the best out of the struggling striker, it could be the former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss, who is in need of a hitman after Tammy Abraham was ruled out for a lengthy period with injury.
