Ghana chief calls out West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus in bizarre speech

President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt E.S Okraku called out West Ham star Mohammed Kudus in a motivational team talk to the Black Stars squad.

Ghana face Sudan in back-to-back games in their Africa Cup of Nations Qualification group on 10 and 14 October.

Their last five games have seen two wins, two defeats and a draw which the association president didn’t seem too pleased with in a passionate speech shared via Ghana’s official YouTube channel on Wednesday 9 October.

Okraku called out the Hammers star in particular as he said: “When Kudus, you were not born, this team existed. This team was represented.”

West Ham ace Mohammed Kudus picked out on Ghana duty

The Irons ace has had an up and down start to the campaign at the London Stadium which has led to some criticism of the forward.

There has even been questions about a bust-up between the Ghana international and Julen Lopetegui after the 24-year-old was hooked at half time against Brentford.

Kudus did look much improved against Ipswich Town as he scored his first goal of the season and celebrated in trademark fashion.

There is hope that the former Ajax man can rediscover his form from last campaign where he was superb and impressed throughout the year.

International duty with his country could prove to be the opportunity to maintain his goalscoring form given his importance to the side.

There is some quality players in Otto Addo’s side with Inaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo among others in their squad.

Kudus will want to do his best for his nation and it is yet to be seen whether or not the speech from the FA president will have a positive effect. That feels unlikely.

In other West Ham news, one ace looks set to start an international clash as a Newcastle player looks set to be dropped.
