Gary Neville gets it wrong after what he’s admitted about Graham Potter sack at West Ham
Gary Neville has been left uncertain about the future of Graham Potter at West Ham.
The Englishman is coming under increased scrutiny at the London Stadium, with Potter seemingly central to a West Ham crisis.
This comes off the back of a terrible start to the season, culminating in West Ham falling to defeat against Crystal Palace last time out.
It is little surprise that Nuno Espirito Santo has been linked with the West Ham role, although Potter remains in the job for now.
This has forced Neville into revealing a wrong opinion in East London surrounding the future of the Englishman in E20.

Gary Neville was sure of Graham Potter sack
It felt almost certain that Potter would be sacked after the Palace defeat, after what was yet another abject performance at home.
This was the third time that the Hammers had failed to pick up any points in East London, summing up the struggles that the ex-Chelsea boss has faced this campaign.
It did feel unlikely that he would last with the Irons to take a place in the dugout for upcoming clashes against Everton and Arsenal.
This was the general feeling of Neville, who was sure that Potter would be let go by David Sullivan and Co. in the days after the Crystal Palace loss, but was proven wrong.
The ex-England international shared this belief via Stick to Football on 25 September, as he looked shocked to see the head coach remain in his role.
He said: “Graham Potter is having a tough time. I was expecting it on Sunday or Monday. It wouldn’t have been a surprise [if he was sacked].
“I was expecting it, I don’t know why.”
West Ham should have sacked Graham Potter
If it wasn’t for the general lack of available coaches in the market right now, Potter may have been sacked.
It has to be said that with the shocking form that the Hammers have showcased since he joined back in January, it should have been enough for him to be moved on.
Stat | Graham Potter |
Matches | 25 |
Wins | 6 |
Draws | 5 |
Losses | 14 |
That hasn’t been the case, and the Hammers board have opted to back the former Englishman for whatever reason.
Based on recent performances that shouldn’t really be the case, with the opinion of Neville echoing that of the London Stadium faithful.
