Gary Neville explodes at Karren Brady after West Ham United vice-chairman speaks out
Gary Neville has exploded at West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady for her comments on the suggested new independent regulator for football.
The boardroom regular shared her thoughts in her column for The Sun, insisting that it was a Labour Party idea, despite the Fan Led Review being suggested much more recently than that.
Neville was outraged and labelled her article as “hideous” and simply lies as the pledge was led by a Conservative MP, something he made very clear.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Saturday morning, Neville flew off the hinges after reading what the boardroom member had to say.
“If you want to read the most hideous of articles then please read the below from Karen Brady,” he wrote.
“She suggests a new independent regulator is a ‘Labour Party idea’ – The Fan Led Review was a Conservative Manifesto pledge and led by a Conservative MP.
“Self-interest, lies and greed.”
Speaking Out.
Brady has written this column for The Sun frequently, and often it tends to touch and nerve with big incidents always being addressed by one of our chiefs.
The Kurt Zouma incident is just one that comes to mind which also caused controversy in her writing, and it can’t continue to draw negative reactions such as Neville’s.
Neville is very outspoken about the Government and the need for change, and this one appears to have been set up perfectly for him to spiral into another outburst.
Thankfully, West Ham United are not mentioned as such in either the piece or reaction, and it is just Brady appearing to take most of the flack.
Matt Slater of the Athletic admitted that he could take issue with every sentence written, which for starters is not really a good look for her.
With Fair Game UK bringing this to light and demanding changes now, the independent regulator could come into centre stage very soon, that is if it isn’t kept on the back burner by those in charge.
