Gary Lineker shocked by Kurt Zouma inclusion during West Ham v Watford

Gary Lineker believes that West Ham failed to read the room by including Kurt Zouma in the lineup against Watford on Tuesday.

The Hammers beat Watford 1-0 but the entire post-match discussions were dominated by Zouma.

After the video of him kicking his cat was released, there were calls to drop him from the playing XI, but David Moyes went ahead and picked him.

Reacting to his via his personal Twitter account, Lineker wrote, “Shocked and appalled that West Ham played Zouma last night. A tone deaf decision.”

Spot on

Lineker makes a point that most Hammers fans, let alone football fans can get behind.

Zouma was given a hostile reception at the London Stadium last night and the supporters are well within their rights to do that.

While he may have apologised for it, they will not be satisfied until he is punished for it.

It remains to be seen what the club do with him as they’re not likely to get away with it if nothing happens.

West Ham

Fan protests have been made a huge difference over the last two years and it could happen again if nothing is done about Zouma.

Hopefully, a heavy fine with a suspension of a few games is imposed so that the Frenchman or anyone else does not do such appalling things again.
