Gabby Agbonlahor reacts to West Ham United news on David Moyes sack decision

Gabby Agbonlahor admitted that West Ham have a big decision to make over the future of David Moyes at the end of the season, while speaking on talkSPORT.

The Aston Villa hero blasted the Hammers poor form which sees them directly involved in the dogfight to avoid the Premier League drop zone.

West Ham appears to be showing faith in Moyes to steer the club out of trouble but there are no guarantees that he will keep his job, with Alex Crook predicting a parting of ways this summer.

Agbonlahor was reflecting on the view of Crook who expects the Scotsman to leave the London Stadium at the end of the campaign, regardless of what happens.

“This season has been so bad,” he said.

“Is it time for a change? A fresh manager coming in because they’ve got some good players at West Ham: Scamacca, Antonio, Bowen, Fornals, Benrahma – could a new manager come in and get better from those players?

“West Ham have got a lot of big decisions to make.”

Massive decision ahead for West Ham

Moyes obviously needs to make sure that West Ham stay in the Premier League, but he will need to make a statement impact to boost his prospects of leading the Irons into another season.

The Europa Conference League is an intriguing obstacle in the weeks ahead. It presents a realistic chance to win a European trophy yet that feat may not be enough to keep the manager in his position. Further progress toward the final in Prague could inspire the players to find the required results in the league or it could have a detrimental effect.

That is the situation that West Ham are in, with a massive decision ahead.

If the club are relegated there will almost certainly be change in the dugout but if they remain in the top flight, is continuity the best option, especially given the achievements of last season, or would another boss get more out of the current squad, with further additions to come?
