BBC pundit Tony Gale laughs at player after what he did in West Ham United loss v Fulham
Tony Gale said he could only watch and laugh at that way Andreas Pereira reacted to being fouled by Emerson in Sunday’s (10 December) Premier League clash between Fulham and West Ham.
Fulham midfielder Pereira went to ground under contact from Emerson in the second half of United’s shocking 5-0 defeat to their London rivals at Craven Cottage.
The Brazilian let out a loud squeal, which former West Ham defender Gale could hardly believe as he covered the game live for the World Feed [10 December, 15:55]

“You have to laugh,” he said. “I can hear the scream from here when Pereira went down, but he’s got up and is right as rain. It’s the loudest scream in the world.
“It’s a foul from Emerson, pure and simple, but it was hardly a touch and I can hear the scream from 70 yards up and on the other side of the ground.”
Ran the show
If West Ham’s players and fans were not already frustrated enough, Pereira’s reaction to the minimal contact from Emerson would have sent them over the edge.
The reaction suggested that Emerson, a half-time substitute for the terrible Aaron Cresswell, had potentially ended his opponent’s career if the scream was anything to go by.
Annoyingly, Pereira helped run the show for Fulham, as he played a game-high five key passes [WhoScored]. That included the assist for Tosin Adarabioyo’s goal – the hosts’ third of the game.

Emerson, for his part, gave away a couple of fouls, which only Tomas Soucek registered more of – and the Czech midfielder played the full 90 minutes.
It is not worth digging out any particular individuals, though, as no West Ham player filled themselves with glory at Craven Cottage.
The quicker this result is forgotten about, the better for everyone involved.
In other West Ham news, Moyes will surely now be feeling the heat as a “disgraceful” verdict was dropped.
