Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner insists his side are fit and excited for their Europa League semi-final clash with West Ham
Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner insists his side are fully fit and “intensely focussed” on their Europa League clash with West Ham.
The Bundesliga side saw their top seven hopes come all but end on Saturday after a 2-2 draw with Hoffenheim.
Talking to Uefa on Monday, Glasner was quick to shift attention to their huge clash at the London Stadium on Thursday evening.

He said: “Intensive preparation for this semi-final is now underway.”
Glasner added: “Now there is no fatigue, there’s just joy and now there’s excitement.
“Now it’s onto the finals!”
Too confident?
West Ham have defied the odds this season, with Sevilla and Lyon both succumbing to the Hammer’s historic European cup run.
However, considering the Hammers’ previous victories, it is perhaps wise for opposition players, fans and managers to do their talking on the pitch.
Previously, Lyon’s Twitter account insisted there was no chance they wouldn’t go through to the semi-finals
The tweet, coupled with the wink to the camera by striker Moussa Dembele following the awarding of a controversial penalty looked rather silly after their 3-0 home defeat at the hands of David Moyes’ side.

It is not just Glasner who has been confident in the build-up to the fixture at the London Stadium, Frankfurt’s official Twitter account has also made a sweeping statement prior to the fixture.
Their post translated to: “Now hammer the hammers.”
Frankfurt and Glasner should maybe keep these bold statements for if they reach the final in Sevilla on the 18th of May.
In other West Ham news, a BBC pundit has slammed Moyes’ harsh criticism of one key West Ham man.
