Fabrizio Romano shares West Ham United stance as Arsenal submit Declan Rice bid amid Manchester City and Manchester United links
Fabrizio Romano has shared what West Ham will now be doing amid Manchester City interest as Arsenal make a third Declan Rice bid.
The Sky Sports journalist claims that the Hammers are waiting to see what Manchester City can put on the table for the 24-year-old.
This comes after David Ornstein from the Athletic revealed that Arsenal launched a “massive” £105million bid on 27 June while Manchester United too have been considering a cash + player offer of their own, per the Telegraph.
Romano wrote on Twitter, “Arsenal have submitted new official bid for Declan Rice after West Ham choice to reject £80m plus £10m bid from Man City.
“Arsenal third bid is now on the table for £100m fixed fee plus £5m add-ons, as @David_Ornstein reported.
West Ham, waiting to hear from Man City.”
Best bid wins
This is now going to test City’s resolve as it’s the first time ever that another Premier League club has bid over nine figures for a player.
They broke the record with Jack Grealish and now Arsenal stand on breaking it if the Citizens cannot match or better this offer.
It seems like the Citizens will perhaps wait and see as to what the Hammers end up doing with the bid made for Rice.

If they ask for more money and reject it, the Manchester outfit know that they’ll have to put more money on the table for the England international.
Manchester United have been cold so far but it’s not beyond them to put in a surprise bid so this saga might not be over yet.
Interesting times for West Ham as a club as they stand to make a lot of money from Rice’s sale.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
