Fabrizio Romano shares David Moyes exit update at West Ham United amid Hansi Flick talk
Fabrizio Romano says there is a “90 per cent” chance that David Moyes will leave West Ham when his contract expires in the summer.
Moyes intends to wait until the end of the campaign before deciding whether to sign a new deal offered to him by the club at the end of last year.
However, with the Scotsman’s future growing increasingly uncertain, a number of names have been touted with the top job at London Stadium.
Sharing an update on the situation on his Daily Briefing page [29 April], Romano said: “There is a 90 per cent that we see David Moyes leave at the end of the season.
“That is the feeling, but we must wait for the formal steps and meetings. But the intention internally is very clear as West Ham are looking at candidates.
“I see David Moyes leaving at the end of the season. They have multiple candidates at West Ham. They had a meeting with Ruben Amorim last Monday but there was no agreement, but let’s see what happens with other candidates.
“For example, Hansi Flick might be a possibility, as is Paulo Fonseca. There are many rumours about Julen Lopetegui, but his priority has been Milan.
“As long as he is in the race to be Milan manager, Lopetegui will wait for Milan. But for sure, West Ham are in the process to appoint a new manager.”
David Moyes heading for West Ham exit
It is becoming quite clear that Hammers chiefs intend to bring in a new manager given all the chatter behind the scenes over the past week or so.
Moyes can maintain that the decision lies with him, but the club clearly now see the need to freshen things up by bringing in a new manager.
Some of the names are more exciting than others, with Flick one that will no doubt get supporters excited when looking over his CV.

Julen Lopetegui should instantly be discredited if it is true he is not interested in listening to any West Ham advances while Milan are interested.
Milan have more stature than the Irons, of course, but supporters will want someone on board who actually wants the job.
For now, Moyes remains in charge and deserve respect from fans. But as we now prepare to enter May, the end is very much on the horizon.
