Fabrizio Romano shares documents update as Arsenal set to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United

West Ham and Arsenal are working on the preparation of documents in order to finalise the sale of Declan Rice with a medical also planned this week.

According to Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Granit Xhaka is now likely to be shown the door at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Via Twitter, he wrote, “Arsenal are prepared to schedule medical tests for Declan Rice this week after agreement reached with West Ham. Documents are being prepared between clubs. Granit Xhaka, waiting for the green light to join Bayer Leverkusen soon.”

Finally

The Rice transfer saga was long drawn and at last it seems to have come to an end.

West Ham were enjoying once there were multiple teams in the race and they could’ve hiked his price further.

However, since it became just Arsenal and he was keen on the move, they knew they had to act soon.

A lot of what they do this summer in terms of incomings is contingent on the 24-year-old’s sale and how much money that brings into the club.

West Ham

The deal should be finalised this week and it’s now time that serious work goes into getting in new players through the door.

David Moyes will surely have a plan in mind as to what the best way to replace Rice will be as he will have known about his fate for a while.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
