FA make final decision on Ajeti after West Ham incident – report

West Ham United forward Albian Ajeti was facing a nervous wait on his near future after a late incident with Mason Holgate against Everton.

The Swiss forward appeared to brush heads with the Toffees defender, but escaped a red card at the time in the 1-1 draw.

There were fears that the decision could have been reviewed by the FA and in time face a three-match ban in the Premier League.

Claret and Hugh revealed on Monday that the FA had until Tuesday to come to a decision but have made their decision already.

According to the report, there will be no further action taken on Ajeti, who will be free to face Leicester City on Wednesday if given the nod by David Moyes.

Moyes will now have Ajeti available to challenge Sebastien Haller for a starting spot when they travel to the King Power Stadium.

Despite struggling recently, club-record signing, Haller will most likely start. Ajeti has looked energetic since Moyes arrived though and will be giving the Scotsman something to think about in the long run.

In six previous substitute appearances, the 22-year-old failed to even register a single shot – but, in games against Everton and Leicester, he managed a couple in 27 minutes as he looks to prove a point [WhoScored].

That alone isn’t enough to start, but with any fears of a ban behind him, Ajeti will be looking to kick on and prove himself at the London Stadium.
