ExWHUemployee: West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell injury worse than feared

West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell appears to be worse than initially feared, claims ExWHUemployee.

The 32-year-old appeared to be on the cusp of returning, but he appears to have had a setback.

Ex expected him to be back soon, but it turns out that after recent scans, he is suffering from a chipped bone in his back.

He said on the West Ham Way podcast, “His injury seems to be worse than originally feared because first I was aiming to get information from the club expecting he’ll be back. But then were scans and the bone has been chipped. That’s a massive loss.”

Huge

We reported on December 23 that Cresswell could be out for at least three months and it appears to be a similar diagnosis here from Ex.

When he says that is worse than originally feared, we’re hoping that he does not mean over three months.

Cresswell is already one of the most important players at the club and his loss coupled with both their first-choice centre-backs will be huge for the Hammers.

David Moyes cannot be blamed for the decline in form as he’s been unlucky with injuries.

January is a huge opportunity for the club to sign a centre-back and a left-back as Arthur Masuaku does not appear the best option defensively.

Hopefully, the club clean their act quickly or the top four may soon become a distant dream.
