ExWHUemployee: West Ham could complete numerous deals with Chelsea this month

West Ham United could take advantage of Chelsea’s desperate need to sell players this month, according to ExWHUemployee.

Kurt Zouma remains a big target for the Irons, and talks are continuing to try and reach an agreement with both club and player.

Ex has suggested that the Hammers might not stop there, and may look into moves for the likes of Ross Barkley in the next two weeks.

Speaking on the West Ham Way Podcast, Ex shared the latest update on what could happen in the next two weeks.

“Chelsea are desperate to sell him [Zouma],” he said.

“Chelsea, since I’ve been looking at them a bit – they have got so many squad players. They’re desperate to get some of them off the books.

“I think West Ham will be looking at a number of Chelsea players before the end of the window, there are the likes of Zouma, Barkley – who we’ve liked before, there’s Bakayoko.”

West Ham

Interesting.

You would have thought if Chelsea were so desperate to raise funds, they would have lowered their demands for Zouma.

That doesn’t appear to have happened, and £25million is proving to be a sticking point for the club as things stand.

Should no move be completed in the next week, both West Ham and Chelsea may push harder to reach an agreement and that could benefit either party.

As for the likes of Barkley, that would surely only happen should a move for Jesse Lingard prove difficult, but with things changing every single day on that potential move, it could go down to the very wire.

Chelsea are desperate, it is time to take advantage.
