ExWHUemployee makes David Moyes admission as he shares Lucas Paqueta injury update after West Ham v Liverpool

West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta appears to be out for just two weeks and not for the World Cup as feared after the Liverpool clash.

The Hammers went down fighting to the Reds by a 1-0 scoreline but the main worry after the full-time whistle was about the Brazil international’s situation.

He has since taken to social media to allay any fears and ExWHUemployee also claims that he’s been told internally that it’s not a serious injury.

Ex joked that it could be David Moyes either not receiving the memo after the severity of the injury or the fact that he wanted to make it sound more serious.

Via Twitter, he wrote, “I was told collar bone and out for 2 weeks but I wanted to check that today. Seems neither me or Lucas got the memo to make it sound worse than it was ha.”

This is precisely what the Hammers fans wanted to hear and it’s a good thing that he will not be missing the World Cup.

This is arguably Brazil’s best team of the current generation and are arguably the favourites to win the tournament.

He has also become a key figure for the Hammers and it’s good that he’s only out for two weeks and not for a significant amount of time.

Hopefully, he gets back to action soon and features for West Ham even before the World Cup as there are some key games then.

We cannot wait to see how he fares at the biggest stage of them all and just where he fits into this Brazil midfield.

It was a good performance against Liverpool but Moyes knows that it’s a results business and not getting a point from that one was not acceptable.
