ExWHUemployee issues Dawson, Cornet and Scamacca updates ahead of West Ham v Viborg

Craig Dawson is reportedly set to miss the West Ham v Viborg Europa Conference League clash on Thursday due to an injury.

According to ExWHUemployee, Angelo Ogbonna could be available as the Hammers are looking to speed up his first-team returns.

New signings Gianluca Scamacca and Maxwel Cornet are also likely to feature while Thilo Kehrer is available despite making his move official only a day before the clash.

Ex wrote, “We believe that Craig Dawson will again miss out but Angelo Ogbonna could be available for selection as the club look to speed up his return to the side.

“Moyes will decide whether to use Areola as his cup keeper, with the French international likely to get the nod.

“New signings Cornet and Scamacca are looking to build up their match fitness in this game so should be involved at some point and the German international Kehler is also available to play.”

Important game

The Hammers haven’t started the season well and it’s important for them to get their first win of the campaign.

It will build momentum and also give the side confidence going into their next set of Premier League games.

The performance against Nottingham Forest was far from impressive as the side still looks like it’s not returned from vacation yet.

This game will be good for some of the fringe players to show their worth and maybe give David Moyes a few selection dilemmas against Brighton.

The clash against Graham Potter’s side is also not going to be easy so the players need to build up a head of steam before that contest.

Hopefully, West Ham register two wins on the spin and end the week strongly after a disappointing first two weeks of the season.
