ExWHUemployee delivers update on West Ham United ace Declan Rice medical ahead of Arsenal transfer

ExWHUemployee has delivered an update on West Ham midfielder Declan Rice’s medical as he’s set to join Arsenal this summer.

The reliable London Stadium insider claims that his medical is unlikely to be completed by early next week and until then an announcement cannot be made.

The 24-year-old is set to move to the Emirates Stadium and become the most expensive British player of all time.

Ex wrote on Twitter, “It’s a long process only start of the medical was done yesterday it won’t be completed until early next week probably.”

Manuel Lanzini, Ademipo Odubeko, Armstrong Oko-Flex and Brian Kinnear, as well as scholar Asher Falase, have already left the club and Rice will be following them out of the door.

Get it done

West Ham are in dire need of funds this summer and can generate it once they manage to sell Rice.

A deal has been agreed and until the formalities aren’t sorted, the money will not arrive in their account.

Thus, the transfer needs to go ahead as quickly as possible in order for the Hammers to move on and bring in additional signings.

West Ham

For all practical purposes, Rice is already an Arsenal player so David Moyes and the recruitment team now need to start talking with potential replacements.

Joao Palhinha from Fulham is someone who’s been namedropped and that’s a signing that makes sense to replace the 24-year-old.

Whether or not they’ll be able to do that deal, remains to be seen as it’s certainly going to be a complicated one.

In other West Ham news, an injury expert has claimed that Moyes’ physical demands could see another star player seek a London Stadium exit this summer.
