ExWHUemployee: David Moyes disappointed Jesse Lingard picks Nottingham Forest over West Ham
David Moyes is reportedly disappointed that Jesse Lingard would pick Nottingham Forest over West Ham this summer.
According to ExWHUemployee, the Hammers do not want to break their wage structure for the England international and have already offered him a decent salary along with bonuses.
Forest are willing to take the gamble and give him what he’s asking for which now puts them in the driver’s seat to get this deal over the line.

Ex wrote, “Lingard has made it clear he wanted to come back to West Ham and thought that the club would offer him more in light of recent offers he has had and the fact that there is no transfer fee now.
“The club do not want to break their wage structure and pay him a wage that would significantly make him the highest paid player at the club. They have offered him a wage with bonuses that they believe is fair.
“David Moyes is said to be very disappointed with the late change of mind (something we predicted would happen) and can’t believe the player would choose Forest over us.”
Move on
This Lingard saga has been going on for over a year and it seems like he keeps using West Ham as a bargaining chip.
We’re surprised that Forest are able to pay higher wages but it still is a risk as they do not have an overall squad yet to guarantee themselves safety this coming season.
Lingard would be fighting a relegation battle there when he could’ve been playing European football and trying to qualify for the Champions League at the London Stadium.
We’re surprised that even after so many years into his career, it’s all come down to money for him as we thought he had greater ambitions.
This entire chase has left a sour taste in the mouths of many Hammers fans and we’re unsure whether the majority still wants Lingard at the London Stadium.
The club have been linked with a move for Luis Suarez recently and that would certainly be one signing that would get the fans excited.
