ExWHUemployee blasts ‘horrendous’ West Ham United story as news emerges in mainstream media
West Ham United insider EXWHUemployee has blasted the news that the Hammers could have to possibly share the London Stadium with Chelsea, describing the potential move as “horrendous”.
According to the Daily Mail, [26 March] capital rivals Chelsea may be forced to play their football away from Stamford Bridge over the next four years amid owner Todd Boehly’s plans to build a new £2bn 60,000-capacity stadium.
The Blues are considering Craven Cottage, Twickenham and Wembley alongside the Hammers’ home as options and Ex slammed the news.

Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast [27 March], he said:
“Chelsea are considering a ground share with us if they redevelop Stamford Bridge. Now, their new owners want to do a whole new makeup of the stadium which will apparently take four years to do.
“The London Stadium has been identified as one of those potential stadiums, apparently. I’ve not heard that from sources, I’ve just read it in the news like anyone else would have.
“But I thought that was quite interesting to highlight. And that could be a really interesting issue. If we’re in the Premier League and say both of us, and fixtures get cancelled and rearranged, and if we’re both in Europe as well, how all of that would work? It’d be awful.”
Co-host Dan Walker then said: “I’d be really, really disappointed if West Ham accepted that.”
Ex agreed, adding: “Yeah, me too. I mean, it would be horrendous.”
Hell no!
Certainly, Chelsea would be willing to pay West Ham United an arm and a leg to play at their stadium while their new ground is in construction, but it certainly won’t quite sit right with many Hammers fans. In fact, they’d be livid if it was to happen.
If Tottenham Hotspur played at Wembley for their home games a few years ago while their new stadium was being built, why can’t Chelsea do the same?

Playing on the same ground as their capital rivals just won’t be the same as what AC Milan and Inter are doing in Italy. Fans of Fulham or West Ham would be absolutely distraught.
However, it’s understandable why Chelsea would want to use the London Stadium considering its reasonable capacity and how the pitch has been utilised for other major events in the past.
But, the Irons had to fight to own the London Stadium so potentially sharing it with a London rival, Chelsea for that matter would be totally inconceivable. Hell no!
