ExWHUemployee admits sharing inaccurate information about Rice’s contract offers
West Ham United have failed in their attempts to hand Declan Rice a new deal, with ExWHUemployee claiming the offers are below what Andriy Yarmolenko current earns.
The trusted Hammers insider shared in a now-deleted post on Twitter on July 1 that Javier Hernandez’s wages while at the club is also more, alongside that of some other players.

However, he has taken to his Twitter account to retract the claim, admitting the information was inaccurate.
Ex said: “I’ve since had it confirmed to me that the information I shared regarding Declan’s offer compared to other players currently at the club was inaccurate.
“Let’s hope an agreement can be reached soon.”
West Ham trying to undo damage
While we do not dispute ExWHUemployee’s info, this looks like an attempt on the part of the club to undo the damage.
Hernandez reportedly earned around £140,000-a-week while at West Ham [Football.London], and The Telegraph claim Rice is currently outside the top five earners at the London Stadium, insisting he is one of the lowest earners in the England squad.
Whatever amount the 22-year-old currently earns, he is definitely being underpaid and deserves better.
The Hammers star would be looking for around £200,000-a-week should he move [Euro Sport], and that is not a type of wages the club would be keen to pay.
Rice needs more than big wages to stay at the club, though.

He wants to compete for silverware and play in the Champions League every season.
While things have improved significantly under manager David Moyes over the last 12 months, can we give the Three Lions star what he wants in terms of ambition?
The owners have not impressed him, and it would not surprise anybody if they do not provide enough transfer funds this summer.
Rice loves West Ham, but the same cannot be said of David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady.
It is business and profit first for them.
