Every single West Ham game Pablo will miss as new injury update emerges

West Ham United are set to be without new signing Pablo for over a month after the striker picked up a calf problem.

Last week, speaking ahead of the 1-0 FA Cup win over Burton Albion, Nuno Espirito Santo revealed that the 22-year-old was set for a spell on the sidelines, but had no details on the expected length.

However, it is now being reported by The Athletic that Pablo will miss four to six weeks as he recovers from an injury to his calf.

After the new update on the striker, West Ham Zone reveals the upcoming games he will miss, in both the Premier League and the FA Cup.

Pablo set for six-week West Ham absence

Pablo was absent from the West Ham squad for their 1-1 draw with Manchester United last Tuesday, before he was ruled out of their FA Cup Fourth Round tie with Burton.

After already missing two matches with his calf issue, the Hammers forward could be restricted to the sidelines for another six games in the coming weeks.

West Ham’s next six games

West Ham face Bournemouth, Liverpool and Fulham in the Premier League over the next fortnight, and Pablo will be unavailable for all three games.

He will also miss the Hammers’ FA Cup Fifth Round tie with Brentford on 7 March, as well as the league clash with Manchester City seven days later.

Depending on the speed of his rehabilitation, Pablo may be back as Nuno’s side travels to Aston Villa on 22 March, which is just under six weeks from when he originally picked up his calf injury.

How will West Ham cope without Pablo?

West Ham brought Pablo in from Gil Vicente in the winter transfer window, as they looked to bolster their attacking options.

Along with Taty Castellanos, the Brazilian made an immediate impact for the East London outfit.

Since the Hammers were beaten 2-1 by Nottingham Forest, Pablo’s first appearance, they have lost just once across all competitions, picking up 10 points in the Premier League.

Nuno’s side are undoubtedly weaker without the 22-year-old, who has often lined up in the number 10 position, just off Castellanos.

There are several options to fill that void, including Mateus Fernandes and Callum Wilson, but the Hammers may have to alter their direct style of play without Pablo’s ability to hold the ball up.
