Every game Niclas Fullkrug could miss as latest West Ham injury blow confirmed
Niclas Fullkrug has suffered yet another injury setback, as confirmed by Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann.
The West Ham United striker has struggled for any sort of momentum since arriving from Borussia Dortmund for a reported £27million in August 2024.
Nuno Espirito Santo has started Fullkrug in his first two West Ham games, but he will not be available when club action resumes.
It is the latest in a long line of injury issues for Fullkrug, who is among West Ham’s all-time record signings.

Julian Nagelsmann confirms Niclas Fullkrug injury blow
Fullkrug was not named as part of Germany’s squad for Friday’s match with Luxembourg and Monday’s clash with Northern Ireland.
However, due to injuries piling up after Nagelsmann named his squad, the Germany head coach confirmed on Friday that he had intended to call up Fullkrug.
Speaking to ARD, though, Nagelsmann said the striker “has a torn muscle bundle in his thigh” and was unavailable for selection.
This will be news to West Ham fans, and it now remains to be seen exactly how long Fullkrug could be absent.
A report by German outlet Kicker suggests Fullkrug will miss “several weeks”, potentially taking West Ham up to the next international break.
Games Fullkrug could miss for West Ham:
- Brentford (h) – 20 October
- Leeds (a) – 24 October
- Newcastle (h) – 2 November
- Burnley (h) – 8 November
Those are West Ham’s quickfire fixtures between now and the next two-week break, but Nuno will no doubt provide more information at his latest press conference next week.
How many games has Fullkrug missed for West Ham already?
As per Transfermarkt, Fullkrug has missed a combined 175 days of action for West Ham since joining last summer.
Fullkrug has simply not been able to enjoy a prolonged run of starts and goals in a West Ham top, and the brutal truth is that does not look like changing.
Nuno showed his faith in the German by selecting him for his first two games, but Fullkrug was poor in West Ham’s 2-0 loss to Arsenal.
Fullkrug staying fit was always going to be a priority for West Ham, but it has now reached a stage in which that simply seems impossible.
