Everton v West Ham United: Unseen Jordan Pickford and David Moyes moment shared
Jordan Pickford made a beeline for David Moyes to catch up with his former manager ahead of the game between Everton and West Ham.
The unseen moment prior to the Toffees’ 3-1 loss at Goodison Park on Saturday (2 March) was shared by the Liverpool Echo [3 March].
Pickford previously worked under Moyes at Sunderland prior to the goalkeeper’s switch to Everton in June 2017.
“Jordan Pickford left his teammates as they warmed up on the pitch and headed down the tunnel alone during the final preparations before kick-off,” the article read.
“He stopped on the way to chat with David Moyes, the pair appearing pally as they talked animatedly on the touchline.
“It was a long time ago now but one of Moyes’ post-Everton jobs was of course at Sunderland, where he oversaw Pickford’s breakthrough season.”

Pickford only briefly played under Moyes at Sunderland, but the pair clearly still have a strong connection.
That was in the early days of the keeper’s career, and he has since become England’s and Everton’s number one.
Quite what the conversation was all about, who knows? Perhaps it was regarding Pickford’s eating habits.
Pickford hit back at Moyes six years ago after the Scotsman appeared to question his diet while at Sunderland [Football365].
Either way, it was a day to forget for Pickford and his Everton team-mates as they let a one-goal lead slip in the 3-1 loss to West Ham.
From a personal point of view, Pickford has now failed to keep a clean sheet in five matches, conceding nine times across that run.
It was a welcome victory from West Ham’s perspective, though, with successive wins ensuring questions over Moyes’ future are again a thing of the past.
