Dion Dublin impressed by 'relentless' West Ham win over Crystal Palace
West Ham United’s breathtaking first-half display saw them over the line against Crystal Palace despite a late fightback from the Eagles.
A brace from Manuel Lanzini added to Michail Antonio’s opener to ensure West ham overcame Crystal Palace who witnessed the return to the dugout for manager Patrick Vieira after recovering from COVID-19.
BBC Match of the Day pundit Dion Dublin heaped praise on David Moyes’ side after the Hammers’ raced to a three-goal lead before halftime at Selhurst Park.
“West Ham were just dominant in the first half,” Dublin said, “Very organised, very positive getting people in the box. They were relentless coming forward.”
Defensive Worries
While the Hammers’ attack was in tip-top form in the first half, the second 45 was a stark contrast.

Moyes’ side couldn’t impose themselves on the game after the break and they couldn’t stop Palace from creating a host of chances.
Michael Olise’s introduction 20 minutes from time really turned the tide in the Eagles’ favour as the teenager went on to grab a goal and an assist, ultimately in vain.
Moyes will not be happy at how his team took their foot off the gas in the second half as stronger opposition could have caused further damage and taken points off the Irons.
Having said that, the attacking quality shown in the first half is something any manager would crave to have in their team and Palace simply couldn’t cope.
If they had been able to continue the onslaught into the second half, who knows what the score could’ve been.
Crucially though, the Hammers held on despite a few heart-stopping moments in stoppage time.
