Denzel Dumfries just revealed his stance on joining West Ham in January after approaches made
West Ham are fighting to survive in the Premier League, with Nuno Espirito Santo using the January window as an opportunity to invest.
As it stands, the Hammers are light on options in attack, and with Niclas Fullkrug set to leave West Ham, only Callum Wilson is available as a natural centre-forward.
Jarrod Bowen did, however, spearhead Nuno’s attack against Brighton, with the 28-year-old scoring a goal assisted by Wilson in a 1-1 draw.
But the league’s fourth-worst attack have also struggled to keep goals out, and that is why West Ham are targeting defensive reinforcements in January.

Denzel Dumfries doesn’t want West Ham move
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Irons have made approaches for Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries, but the Italian side have turned them down.
The report also adds that, if the Hammers were to submit another proposal for the Dutchman, he would turn them down.
That is despite the powerful wing-back’s current state of unhappiness at Inter, with the 29-year-old’s contract holding a £21.8million release clause.
Dumfries arguably wants to join a club competing in European competition, something West Ham can’t offer him.
The 69-cap Netherlands international has previously attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, and it will be intriguing to see if a Premier League club move for him in January.
What is certain, though, is that Dumfries won’t be moving to the London Stadium anytime soon, and that is good news for their current options.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be relieved at this update
Dumfries has established himself as one of the best attacking full-backs in the world, and his stats since joining Inter speak volumes.
Denzel Dumfries Inter Milan stats
194 appearances
25 goals
26 assists
That is why, if West Ham were able to capture him – which looks highly unlikely – then he would establish himself as a starter in Nuno’s system.
So, current first-choice Aaron Wan-Bissaka and back-up option Kyle Walker-Peters will be relieved that Dumfries isn’t interested in the Hammers.
Wan-Bissaka has been brilliant for West Ham in 2025/26 and arguably one of their most consistent performers, so this news isn’t too damaging to Nuno in any case.
