Denis Zakaria excluded from Juventus training amid West Ham United transfer development

Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria will reportedly be training separately in pre season amid transfer talks over a move to West Ham this summer.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, [Page 4, 15 July], he has not even been included in the Italian side’s pre-season tour.

There’s understood to be a season-long that’s being considered with a buy option of £15.3million this summer.

Him and Alvarez?

It was never going to be possible for the Hammers to sign one player in order to replace Declan Rice.

The Englishman is one of the few complete midfielders in Europe and arguably the best in that bracket under the age of 25.

Edson Alvarez and Zakaria are both different kinds of midfielders and it makes sense to bring in both of them to deal with Rice’s absence.

By the looks of it, Juventus are doing everything they can to get rid of the Switzerland midfielder and not taking him for pre season appears to confirm it.

If he was a part of the manager’s plans or if there was a minute possibility of him staying, he would not have been told to stay back.

It looks like David Moyes was impressed with whatever he saw of Zakaria at Chelsea and perhaps even before that, convinced him to secure the services of the Switzerland midfielder.

In other West Ham news, an injury expert has claimed that Moyes’ physical demands could see another star player seek a London Stadium exit this summer.
