Declan Rice to jet into UK on Saturday as West Ham United Monday exit mooted
ExWHUemployee has suggested Declan Rice’s move to Arsenal could be completed on Monday 3 July after a fee was agreed with West Ham.
BBC Sport reported on 28 June that a £105million agreement has been reached between the two sides after Manchester City pulled out of the race.
Ex has since suggested (via Twitter, 29 June) that Rice is set to jet into the UK on Saturday and that his medical could be completed on Monday.
“I would guess the conclusion on terms either today or tomorrow, Rice back in the country on Saturday. Medical probably Monday and completion then. Although before I get held accountable-this is all guesses/estimates,” he wrote.
Finally
The majority of West Ham fans will be delighted to see this never-ending saga come to a close. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club for the last three transfer windows and with his contract entering its latter stages, now is the right time for him to make the move to a Champions League club.
It’s now time for the Hammers to look forward and utilise the incoming transfer fee carefully. Midfield reinforcements have to be at the forefront of Tim Steidten and David Moyes’ wishlist.

Realistically, there isn’t a ready-made replacement for Rice waiting in the wings. Therefore, looking to land multiple players to add strength and depth has to be the route to go down.
Moyes’ squad could end up becoming a much more well-rounded unit as a result of Rice departing. With the Europa League also to contend with, it’s essential that a busy summer now ensues.
