Declan Rice ready to make request to West Ham United amid Arsenal and Manchester City transfer development
Declan Rice is reportedly ready to tell West Ham to accept the bid from Arsenal as Manchester City appear to have dropped out of the race.
According to the Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel, an agreement can be reached on Wednesday, 28 June, over the fee and structure of the payments.
The Gunners are set to break the Premier League transfer record for a transfer and also make Rice the most expensive British player of all time.
Via Twitter, Mokbel wrote, “Declan Rice ready to ask West Ham to accept Arsenal’s £105m bid as the England midfielder closes in on move to the Emirates. Confidence from Arsenal that an agreement can be reached today.”
Along with Rice, Gianluca Scamacca also appears to be on his way out with Gianluca Di Marzio claiming he wants an Italy return.
Time to go?
Manuel Lanzini, Ademipo Odubeko, Armstrong Oko-Flex and Brian Kinnear are the other players that will be leaving the club this summer as well.
With Manchester City pulling out there just seems to be one destination left and Rice has been keen on moving there ever since.
He’s been an Arsenal target for months and has surely had conversations on personal terms for a while and Mikel Arteta’s project surely inspired him.

Given the Hammers’ lack of ambition and failure to get to the next level, one cannot fault Rice for wanting to leave for a Champions League club.
Hopefully, the club hierarchy do not repeat what Spurs did with the Gareth Bale money as they absolutely wasted it and failed to get to the next level.
This gives West Ham the chance to spend a good amount of money, build a balanced squad and ensure that they guarantee a top-half finish every year.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
