David Sullivan spotted as West Ham United lose 6-0 v Arsenal at London Stadium
Jim White has shared the reaction of David Sullivan at the London Stadium as West Ham were defeated 6-0 by Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday 11 February.
The match marked one of the Hammers’ worst performances of the season, with the chairman watching on as David Moyes’ side were condemned to their seventh straight game without a victory in all competitions.
The talkSPORT host also shared images of fans during the doom and gloom, with the pressure really mounting on the future of Moyes.
Taking to X on Sunday (11 February), White wrote: “Tough day at the office, 0-6,” accompanied by an image of Sullivan in the stands.
Time to worry for David Sullivan
West Ham are currently in a make-or-break period during the Premier League season. Despite the Hammers’ bright start in the first half of the campaign, pushing for a top-four spot, they are now in limbo without a win in seven games.
Since their last victory, which was funnily enough a 2-0 win against the Gunners in December, West Ham have been knocked out of the FA Cup by Bristol City, drawn with Sheffield United and Bournemouth, and lost to Manchester United and Arsenal without scoring.
Fans are becoming more and more frustrated with Moyes’ style of play, and the manager is becoming less favourable at London Stadium, especially after his side’s recent exploits. It is thought that a new contract has been tabled for Moyes, but after Sunday’s match, he may walk away at the end of the season.
The criticism of the Scot has been harsh in recent weeks. Every club goes through a rough patch but it is more about how that patch is rectified in the matches after. So far, West Ham have shown no sign of improvement.
The Hammers are now 10 points from fifth-place Aston Villa, and could potentially slip into the bottom half of the table with upcoming fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Everton.
In other West Ham news, one player at the club has sent a two-word message to Pablo Fornals a week after the Spaniard left the club.
