David Sullivan may become acting West Ham United director of football

There is reportedly a “doomsday” scenario at West Ham that will see David Sullivan becoming the acting director of football at the club.

According to Six Foot Two [03 June], Rob Newman faces an uncertain future at the club and his leaving will see the Hammers in desperate need to find a replacement.

Should they not, Sullivan will be the one sanctioning the sales and transfers along with possibly looking for a new manager to replace David Moyes.

Chaos

There does not appear to be any cohesive plan at the London Stadium and everything is in a state of chaos at the moment.

It’s understandable as they’ve got a European final to look forward to but the result of that is not going to drastically change fortunes for next season.

However, there are too many people not singing from the same hymn sheet as there appears to be a lack of clarity in all facets.

The least the board can do is bring in a new sporting director at the club and then deal with Moyes’ future based on his inputs.

Once the final is done, everyone will go their separate ways before returning for pre season and decisions have to be taken before that.

It remains to be seen how the Hammers can manage to navigate themselves out of these muddy waters.
