David Sullivan believes West Ham can still sign Jesse Lingard
David Sullivan still believes that West Ham United can complete a deal to sign Jesse Lingard this summer.
ExWHUemployee has shared the update this week, with Manchester United looking unlikely to sanction any deal as it stands.
Lingard is said to want to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place, something the absence of Marcus Rashford will help.

Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon, Ex shared the update that gives us a slight piece of hope to hold on to.
“The situation with Jesse Lingard is also a tricky one because he is clearly Moyes top target and both him and Sullivan still believe there is a chance to sign him,” he wrote.
“At the moment it has been strongly indicated to me that Lingard wishes to stay at United and fight for his place which is helped by Marcus Rashford being out until January.”

Slim chance.
A recent update from Sky Sports reported that the Irons believe they have a 10% chance of signing Lingard this summer.
That is the Hammers likely not wanting to admit that there is realistically no chance of it happening between now and the end of August.
With nearly three weeks left to go in the window, our priority looks as though it will be bringing in a defender.
Should that be done before the end of the week, it will give GSB and David Moyes three weeks to get a deal across the line for Lingard.
There will always be hope from our end it seems, but it does go down slightly with each day that passes in this window.
