David Moyes wants West Ham to sign Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips
David Moyes wants West Ham to sign Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to ExWHUemployee.
The Hammers boss wants to pair him with Declan Rice in the middle of the park.
This could facilitate a change in system with Tomas Soucek playing closer to the opposition goal.

Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, “There’s still interest in Kalvin Phillips. David Moyes really rates him.
“He prefers to pair him up with Declan as they had a really formidable partnership for England.
“He’s very keen to do something that can enable Soucek to push forward.”
Good move
If the Hammers can pull of this move, it will be one of their best signings in recent years.
Phillips is a player nearing his prime and could be good enough to be a first-team regular for the better part of this decade.
He knows that West Ham is a step up from Leeds and he could get the chance of playing European football at the London Stadium.

However, it’s not going to be easy signing him, given the number of clubs linked with him.
The likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool can all outspend the Irons in the summer if they really want Phillips as their priority.
It remains to be seen how the club handle this situation.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have scouted a £20m-rated ‘Dangerous’ British striker and want to seal a move this summer.
