David Moyes wants Max Aarons at West Ham

West Ham are showing an interest in signing Max Aarons from Norwich City, according to one report from Calciomercato.

The 22-year-old is an exciting young talent, and it seems the Hammers are keeping a close eye on him.

Aarons has made 26 appearances in the Premier League this season, where he managed only assist so far.

Good move?

Aarons could be considering his future if Norwich get relegated at the end of the season.

The Sun reported last year that Aarons is likely to leave Carrow Road, and he is expected to draw attention from a host of clubs.

He has a contract at the club till 2024, and Norwich are expected to demand a high transfer fee for their young talent. He was hailed as “outstanding” by former Norwich defender Jon Newsome last year.

The Canaries have a proven track record of selling their top players at a high transfer fee, and they could repeat the same with Aarons as well.

We all know, West Ham need a striker, a central defender and possibly another midfielder. Why would they be interested in signing another right-back when they already have Ben Johnson and Vladimir Coufal in their ranks?

Probably, Moyes could be looking to use Johnson more as a left-back, with Ryan Fredericks set to leave on a free transfer in the summer.

If that’s the case, then a move for Aarons makes sense.

In other West Ham news, the club have made “first contact” with a Serie A club over signing this former Premier League livewire.
