David Moyes transfer decision made at West Ham as transfer request submitted to David Sullivan

David Moyes will continue making the major transfer decisions at West Ham this summer despite the arrival of technical director Tim Steidten, according to Claret & Hugh.

The publication reported on their website on Sunday (15 July) that the manager has that power due to Steidten needing time to settle into his new role.

Claret & Hugh added that Hammers manager Moyes has already handed a transfer dossier to David Sullivan.

“David Moyes is set to continue making the major summer window decisions at West Ham as new technical director Tim Steidten spends time settling into his new position,” according to Claret & Hugh.

“Moyes has already handed a list of players he wants at the club to the board where David Sullivan will be making all the financial moves after handing them over control to Moyes last season.”

Hope for future transfers

West Ham definitely haven’t got all of their transfer decisions right in recent times, with the likes of Danny Ings and Gianluca Scamacca springing to mind, with both strikers failing to reach the heights expected of them upon their arrival at the London Stadium.

The same was almost able to be said of Nayef Aguerd and Lucas Paqueta, but after a little bit of time settling in, the pair played key roles as the Hammers secured their Premier League safety and more importantly lifted the Europa Conference League trophy.

Now there should definitely be more talented players arriving in East London this summer after the club earned a spot in next season’s Europa League, with plenty of pressure on Moyes to get things right as Steidten takes a back seat for now.

But he will soon have his time in the limelight, with Hammers fans expecting big things from their new technical director.
