David Moyes surely has to drop West Ham forward Manuel Lanzini v Norwich

West Ham boss David Moyes must drop Manuel Lanzini when they face Norwich City on Sunday (8 May) in the Premier League.

After the disappointment in Europa League, where they were knocked out in the semi-final stages by Eintracht Frankfurt, they have to focus on the league.

The Hammers cannot afford to miss out on Europe next season. Failing to do so could see the Hammers losing their key players.

West Ham must return to winning ways after a series of poor results in the Premier League.

That is why Moyes must get his tactics right. He must drop Manuel Lanzini for this game.

Lanzini has been woeful in the last two games. Against Arsenal, he was simply shocking in the first half, where he failed to exert any sort of influence on the game.

Against Frankfurt, he was taken after Aaron Cresswell picked up a red card. But what was his contribution prior to that? He simply chased shadows in the opening 25 minutes.

Lanzini has seen a significant drop in form in recent games, and Moyes should drop him against Norwich who are already relegated.

This is a game they have to win. The Hammers have dropped off the pace in the top six race, but they can still close the gap with their rivals with some big results.

Said Benrahma has not been impressive either, but he deserves an opportunity here ahead of Lanzini.

West Ham are without a win in their last five games in all competitions and have lost four games in a row. Against Norwich, they have to get their act right.
