David Moyes stance shared on Southampton ace James Ward-Prowse as West Ham United bid claim made

David Moyes likes the set-piece ability of Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse as West Ham want to sign him, according to the Guardian.

The British newspaper reported on their website [20 July] that the 28-year-old is open to moving to the London Stadium this summer.

However, contrary to reports, an offer has not yet been made by the Hammers despite Moyes fancying the England international.

Good move

The Englishman has been at St Mary’s for over a decade and has now established himself as a key member of the team and a fan favourite.

However, he’ll aim to be picked up for the national team and knows that he’ll have to play in the Premier League or a top league to be in contention.

He has consistently performed well throughout his career, demonstrating maturity well above his years and will be an incredible signing for the Hammers.

Along with his technical skill, Ward-Prowse’s work ethic and dedication to the Saints have seen him become the captain and he can get that leadership with him to the London Stadium.

He sets an example by putting in constant effort and defensive toughness and could have a positive impact in the dressing room.

With Declan Rice gone, West Ham do not have anyone who will not hesitate to give teammates a piece of their minds during bad games and Ward-Prowse is someone who can do that and needs to be signed.

In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
