David Moyes shares Kurt Zouma injury update for West Ham United Europa Conference League clash v AZ Alkmaar
David Moyes has issued an injury update regarding Kurt Zouma ahead of the West Ham clash with AZ Alkmaar.
The Hammers welcome the Dutch outfit to the London Stadium for their Europa Conference League semi-final first leg match on Thursday (11 May).
Zouma has missed the club’s last two matches after being forced off against Crystal Palace late last month with an ankle injury.

“Kurt has had a day back,” said Moyes, as quoted by the official West Ham website. “He has just started back and we are just seeing how his ankle is.
“There is a good chance that tomorrow is too soon but we will see how he is.”

Welcome news
It remains uncertain whether or not Zouma will recover for the match against AZ Alkmaar, but it is, of course, welcome news for Moyes that the defender is at least back training.
The Hammers definitely missed the centre-back in the recent 3-0 loss to Manchester City, but they dealt with his absence very well by bouncing back to beat Manchester United 1-0.
Moyes will want a full squad for the meeting with AZ Alkmaar, who will definitely give the Hammers a difficult game in East London, with the club currently sitting fourth in the Eredivisie table.
But the hosts should be full of confidence having not only beaten top four chasing Manchester United, but having also kept a clean sheet against the Red Devils.
Zouma has had a fantastic season in central defence under Moyes, but Angelo Ogbonna is certainly not the worst replacement, particularly when he is alongside the assured Nayef Aguerd.
