David Moyes shares fitness update on West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski
West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski picked up a knock during their game against Manchester City, but David Moyes is hopeful that it’s not serious.
Fabianski was replaced by Alphonse Areola in the 30th minute, after colliding with Erling Haaland and Aaron Cresswell.
The Hammers lost 2-0 at the London Stadium, with Erling Haaland scoring twice for the visitors.

“He got a knock onto his hip, which he thinks has numbed his leg completely, so the knock makes me feel not so bad,” added Moyes, as quoted by Football London.
“Hopefully, it won’t be anything serious but he’s limping badly at the moment. Hopefully, it’s not maybe as bad as we felt, he had no feeling in his leg after getting the knock.”
Scare
West Ham signed Areola on a permanent move this summer, and he could get an extended run of games in the side if Fabianski remains injured for a while.
Moyes felt that the injury is not so serious, which is good news for the club. It means he could be fit to play in the coming games.
Haaland scored twice on his Premier League debut as Manchester City showed their class on their opening day.

They were completely dominant throughout the game, managing 75% of possession. They attempted as many as 14 shots and deservedly picked up all three points.
West Ham will face Nottingham Forest in their next Premier League game. David Moyes has suggested that he wants to bring more quality players to the side, and it seems they are looking for more additions in the market.
Last season, Fabianski was the first-choice keeper at the club, and he kept goal in the Premier League, while Areola was used only in cup games. It remains be seen if that will be the case for this season as well.
